We have received meeting times for the Q&A Sessions for the Spring 2 Grading decision. You should have an invite to all three, but if not, please email me with your preferred meeting date (all times are listed in Eastern):
Monday, 3/31, 2:10 PM
Wednesday, 4/1, 2:30 PM
Tuesday, 4/7, 10:00 AM
Hello, everyone -
I hope you are all doing as well as you can, finding ways to normalize and set routines. I was asked to post the Pass/Fail grading announcement from Dean McCormack today.
If you have questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you are prepared to request that your grade be recorded as a traditional letter grade (A-F), you can contact the Registrar's Office at email@example.com. Any questions regarding grade point impact can be addressed there, too.
Let us know if we can assist further!

After two faculty meetings, and much deliberation, the Faculty voted to approve a temporary new grading system for the Spring 2020 semester. This new system is in response to the hardships many of us are experiencing due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Faculty approved a default Pass/Fail grading system for all students in all classes, except those classes that were completed prior to Spring Break, which will be letter graded. However, students may opt to have all of their Spring 2020 letter grades on
their transcripts, instead of pass/fail, if they wish. To exercise the graded option, students will need to notify the Registrar's office by midnight on April 30. Students may not opt to take some classes pass/fail and some graded, except that if students
choose the graded option, classes already designated as pass/fail remain pass/fail (e.g., Law Review, VJEL, practicum part of SIPs, IRPs if so designated, etc.).
Dean Lewis and I will set up several open meetings next week, to answer any questions you have on this new policy.
We thank you for all of your thoughtful input and hope that this temporary increased flexibility will ease some of the burdens of these uncertain times. Stay strong, Swans!
