Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a great term and I wanted to message you all to stay connected as well as share with you some updates.
First, how is the term going? Are you struggling? Let’s connect. Are you having a great term and want to share it with somebody? Let’s connect. I really enjoy hearing from you all, so I just wanted to share that reminder that I’m here for you. Here are some important announcements regarding the Spring term.
When is Spring Term?
Spring term 1 begins on January 7th and runs until February 26th. Spring term 2 begins on March 3rd and ends on April 22nd.
What do I need to do?
Registration is simple, and you no longer need to reach out to me to register. Each student will be able to register themselves through Vermont Law School’s online registration tool: Campus Web. Campus Web is a great website because allows for you to check your financial aid, pay your bills, as well as register for your own classes. This process is very easy just make sure you have the right term entered the search menu. For example, registering for Spring term 1? In the dropdown menu under “registration”, select 2019-2020 Academic Year – Spring- Online Term 1, then hit “search” at the bottom of the screen. There you can see all of the classes available. Select the class and it’s done.

How do I know which class to register for?
If you are unsure of what classes you should take, get in touch with me. I’m available via phone and/or email. Even if you know exactly what class you want to take, PLEASE still let me know so I can keep all your records up to date. This really is the best thing because it allows for both you and I to stay on track.
Campus web causing you problems?
Unfortunately, this can happen from time to time. But it’s okay. For IT issues please contact the studenthelpdesk@vermontlaw.edu This could also mean that you have some issues going on with the business or financial aid office. Whatever the error may be, I’d like to know about it so I can connect you with the best person, or department, to help resolve the issue.
Now that I’m registered, what now?
Now that you’ve successfully been registered, you can finally begin ordering your books. These books can be purchased at cost on our Barrister’s Bookstore website. YOU DO NOT NEED A LOG IN TO ORDER YOUR BOOKS. Click on this link Barristers Bookshop and search for your book by course number. Once you click on the course number it’ll tell you EXACTLY what books you need. Some classes have a lot of books, some classes have only one book…and some classes don’t have any books at all - It’s all different. If you are still unsure after visiting Barrister’s website, please reach out to me, and I’ll let you know exactly what books you need.
But what if I don’t want or need to take any classes? Or maybe I’m graduating?
That’s fine. Students are always more than welcome to take a break. If you need a break this coming term, please let me know. I have some paperwork for you. Or maybe you aren’t taking classes next term because you are graduating. Congratulations! It’s a great success and we are so happy for you. I also have some paper work for you. But this is WAY better paperwork. This way we can make sure you get your diploma and also have all the necessary paperwork filled out in order to have the opportunity to walk for our 2020 commencement in May. It would be great to finally meet you!
Is there anything else?
One last thing. My door is always open. You can simply give me a call, or email me if that’s your preference. All in all, the major theme of this email to stay connected. There are a lot of people here at VLS who want you to be successful. You aren’t in this alone so I hope you take the opportunity to reach out when you can. I’ll certainly do my best as we continue heading toward 2020, and also at other pivotal moments throughout your time at VLS.
Have a wonderful rest of the term!
